Nino Negri Inferno is a Valtellina Superiore DOCG wine made from Nebbiolo grapes in the historic Inferno subzone. Its name evokes the warmth of the terroir, where exposed rocks reflect and retain the sun’s rays, helping the grapes ripen. In the glass, it displays a ruby-red colour with garnet hues, accompanied by intense aromas of cherry, ripe plum and sweet spices. On the palate, it is dry, savoury and well-balanced, with elegant tannins and a slightly bitter finish featuring notes of toasted hazelnut. This Valtellina red wine pairs perfectly with roasts, game and aged cheeses.
Ruby red hue tending to garnet; pronounced, layered nose with top notes of cherry, ripe plum and sweet spice (cinnamon and cloves) and a tinge of sulphur; dry, mineral and austere but harmonious on the palate, with an elegant slightly bitter finish of roasted hazelnut.
Roast red meats, lamb, game, mature cheeses.
